You get a collection of Weather and other sailing services. Information is retrieved from: DMI - Wind, Sea Current, Waves and other weather data Defense Center for Operational Oceanography (FCOO) - Wind, Sea Current, Waves and other weather data - Firing areas and other nautical warnings - Port information Dutch Maritime Authority - Firing areas and other nautical warnings The base map from FCOO has the same information as the old Sejlsikkert app from the Danish Maritime Authority, but ALSO includes WAVES. Under "More" there is also access to the Sailing School, which was included in the old Sejlsikkert app. MitSejlvand also includes an SOS section, which provides easy access to the necessary services needed in emergency situations. The app also retrieves your location here, so that it is available to you. The app also collects a number of other sailing-relevant information, which is continuously being expanded. The app does not require login to use and does not store data about the user. Current location is only stored briefly for quick access in connection with SOS. Current location can also be shared with Weather services, in order to get location on a map or local weather. It cannot be guaranteed that some of the websites that the app provides access to may contain ads, which is why the app is marked "contains ads". There are no ads in the app itself. The app is free to download and use and was created as a private social philanthropic project, as the developer believed there was a need that was not covered by a single existing app.
