Athenea Atlas

The app displays 3D monuments for people with and without disabilities and serves as a complement to the Athena Atlas board game. What is the project? The "Cultural Resources Game for People with Disabilities" project is an educational and recreational initiative that combines physical and digital elements to bring culture closer to people with disabilities through gamification. Inspired by an archaeological adventure narrative, the goal is to promote inclusive access to cultural heritage, develop cognitive and social skills, and strengthen participants' personal autonomy. The game presents a mission: to rescue Athena, a fictional archaeologist who has been captured by an organization intent on destroying historical monuments. To achieve this, players must collaborate by solving cultural challenges in different symbolic locations. This approach allows them to develop key skills such as memory, strategy, teamwork, and heritage knowledge, all adapted with accessible technologies, 3D materials, and cognitive aids.
