The application was implemented by EDYTE SA in the framework of the action "Electronic Services for the National Blood Donation System" of the Operational Program "Public Sector Reform" and is co-financed by the European Social Fund and National Resources. Through this application, the blood donor who has a user account in the National Register of Blood Donors (https://service.blooddonorregistry.gr) can see his profile data, his statistics as a blood donor, the identity of a blood donor if he has issued or to request the acquisition of one, as well as to be informed about when he can donate blood again. The National Blood Donor Registry consists of a unified innovative information system that allows the management of the blood donor registry and the establishment of modern and friendly procedures, which facilitate both blood donors and the country's blood donation services. Its ultimate goal is to increase the safety of blood and its derivatives. The project is coordinated by the National Network of Technology and Research Infrastructures - EDYTE SA (GRNET), in close collaboration with the National Blood Donation Center (EKEA) and addresses chronic problems in the area of ​​blood donation (eg fragmented blood donor histories).
