The Central and Western District is the cradle of education in Hong Kong. Many schools in the district have a history of more than 100 years, which has witnessed the golden years of education development in Hong Kong for more than a century. The editorial team of the Hong Kong University of Education refers to more than a thousand old photos, school journals, and documents, and has been assisted by schools in many districts, providing pictures, arranging filming and interviews with student alumni, and compiling a book to let readers understand the development of education in the Central and Western District. Savour the close connection between the schools and the community to reflect the face of Hong Kong in different eras. This publication also adds interactive elements, through Augmented Reality (Augmented Reality) technology, allowing readers to use mobile phones to see the three-dimensional school building model, appreciate the beauty of these historical buildings and the designer's ingenuity. The three-dimensional model of the school provided in this book, its mobile program and website is re-created based on the existing pictures and plans. Due to limited data, the model may deviate from the actual situation. If there are any mistakes or omissions, please correct me. We will do our best to correct them. The mobile app and website are established by the Hong Kong University of Education Library and provide maintenance and updates for at least five years from the publication of this book.
