কূর্ম পুরাণ Kurma Puran

কূর্মপুরাণ হল সর্বাপেক্ষা কৌতুহলোদ্দীপক সম্প্রদায়-কেন্দ্রিক পুরাণ। কারণ, বিষ্ণুর একটি অবতারের নামাঙ্কিত হলেও প্রকৃতপক্ষে এই পুরাণটি বিষ্ণু ও শিব-কেন্দ্রিক কিংবদন্তি, পৌরাণিক কাহিনি, তীর্থমাহাত্ম্য ও ধর্মতত্ত্বের সংকলন। এই পুরাণে প্রাপ্ত উপাখ্যানগুলি অন্যান্য পুরাণ থেকে পাওয়া উপাখ্যানগুলিরই অনুরূপ। The Kurma Purana is one of the eighteen Mahapuranas, and a medieval era Vaishnavism text of Hinduism. The text is named after the tortoise avatar of Vishnu. The manuscripts of Kurma Purana have survived into the modern era in many versions.
