balance An account based on evidence A program for legal and customary standards The “Qustas” application is a specialized scientific tool that allows users to calculate and estimate legal and customary measurements in the Sultanate of Oman based on modern measurement standards (meter, kilogram, liter... etc.). This application is based on a printed master’s thesis entitled: “Standards in the Levantine Ibadi tradition and the jurisprudential issues related to them” (A dictionary of lengths, measures, and weights, and their estimation according to modern measurements) This application was prepared to facilitate access to scientific information, and it should not be relied upon to issue fatwas. It is always advised to refer to specialized scholars when needed.
