NU Transit

Northwestern University is continuing its partnership with Via, a leading mobility tech provider, to offer free rides to Northwestern students across campus and the surrounding Evanston area during evening and night hours. How does NU Transit work? NU transit includes both the Safe Ride service around campus and transit planning with the Shuttle. You can see shuttle stop times and plan your Campus Loop, Evanston Loop, and Intercampus Shuttle trips directly from the app. What is Safe Ride? The service works like a rideshare that comes where you want, when you want. Enter your pickup and dropoff addresses and choose the ride option that works best for you! Download the NU Transit app and log in using your net id and password. How much are trips? Rides are free if you are an eligible student.
