Ljuda med Boo is the original app for phonological training – since 2016, Boo has helped children aged 3–6 to play around with Swedish language sounds. Unlike a game, this is a calm, open space where children and adults can freely work with sounds together: listen, imitate, experiment and repeat. Boo clearly shows what happens to the mouth, tongue and vocal cords when he pronounces language sounds and syllables – which attracts spontaneous imitation and repetition. Phonological awareness is also strengthened, which is a documented important basis for pronunciation, reading and writing development.
