Fit for Transport

This application has been produced to improve animal welfare outcomes and promote timely interventions for sick and injured animals. The application is aimed at a wide audience - all involved in the transport of live animals within New Zealand; farmers, stock agents, truck drivers, veterinarians, and meat company staff, all of whom have responsibilities conveyed upon them by the Animal Welfare Act 1999 and codes of welfare such as the Codes of Welfare for Transport within New Zealand 2011. Icons have been used to depict the various conditions as imagery of injured animals can be emotive and potentially distract from the intended application.
