It offers comprehensive and scientifically reliable lexical information, free of charge and without advertising. With the app you can look up definitions, usage examples, information on spelling, grammar and etymology as well as synonyms and typical word combinations for around 260,000 keywords and phrases offline at any time - from A like “a cappella” to Z like “zürnen”. This app is the offline version of the portal www.dwds.de, where you can also access word statistics, image and audio material, glossaries and editorial articles as well as research in comprehensive text corpora and other dictionaries.
