Arbaeen pilgrimage is the pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (AS) on Arbaeen day. Imam Hassan Askari (AS) has considered Arbaeen pilgrimage as a sign of a believer, so Shiites pay special attention to it. Iraqi Shiites usually come to Karbala on the fortieth day to visit Imam Hussein (AS). They walk from their cities to Karbala and join the Arbaeen March, one of the largest gatherings in the world, with pilgrims from other countries joining them.
