Tachiwin

Tachiwin allows you to delve deeper into the knowledge of Mexico's 68 indigenous languages ​​and their 365 variants, discovering their voices, texts, and the communities where they are spoken. Explore bilingual dictionaries in Totonac and other languages. You can also experiment with the first versions of the AI ​​tools that Tachiwin is developing. This preliminary version of Tachiwin's AI can identify 50 indigenous languages ​​of Mexico and translate from Totonac to Spanish/English and vice versa. Tachiwin is a free and open-source project developed by indigenous communities in Mexico. Its goal is to be the first AI capable of identifying, translating, and conversing in Mexico's 68 indigenous languages ​​and all their variants, thereby helping to bridge the digital divide with indigenous language-speaking communities and promoting and valuing these languages. This is a Mexican project, non-profit and governed by the ethical principles of collaboration, non-extractivism, shared knowledge and technological sovereignty and operates based on collaborations and donations.
