Wetland Guardian

The application was developed as part of the UNDP project "EU for the Green Agenda in Serbia: Protection and investment in biodiversity and water to strengthen resilience to climate change". Understanding the state and distribution of wetlands is key to their protection and fulfilling international obligations such as the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change. However, data on the state of wetlands and threatening factors are very limited. Your data helps bridge this gap! Why is it important? Wetlands are among the most valuable ecosystems – they support biodiversity, regulate water flows, purify water, store carbon, mitigate floods and provide resources for people and nature. How can you help? By entering your observations, you contribute to the preservation of wetlands.
