Rami - Gin Rummy & Canasta

Draw one, meld what you can, discard one That loop is the whole of rummy, and almost every country has bent it into a different shape. This app carries six of those shapes and lets you switch between them before any game, against opponents with distinct habits and three levels of skill. Sets are three or more cards of the same rank. Runs are three or more in sequence within one suit. Everything you do on your turn aims at folding a fistful of loose cards into those two shapes before somebody else empties their hand and leaves you counting what is left in yours. The six variants Rummy 40 and Rummy 51 differ by one number and play nothing alike: the first meld you put down has to reach forty points in one and fifty-one in the other, and in Rummy 51 you may not lean on a joker to get there. Gin Rummy strips things back to two players and a quick round with the classic end-of-round bonuses. Canasta brings in wild cards, partners and the seven-card meld it is named after. Buraco gives each team a hidden reserve hand and runs to three thousand points. Samba shuffles three decks and six jokers together and runs to ten thousand points. Small things that help When a selection cannot be melded, the app names the rule it breaks instead of simply refusing the move. Cards go off onto melds already down, your own and your opponents', as far as each variant allows. A game left half-played is still there when you come back.
