Klostret i Ystad

Here we offer historical rounds related to Ystad's history or our exhibitions. The monastery in Ystad was founded in 1267 by the knight Holmger and his wife Katarina. Franciscan brothers lived here during the Middle Ages. It has since been a hospital, crown distillery and grain warehouse. The monastery has been a museum since 1912.
