The Absolutist

The Absolutist is a color harmony trainer built on a single fact: harmony is not ornament. It is a structural relationship between colors. Each session presents one locked anchor color and a harmony diagram. Editable satellite nodes are tuned through hue, saturation, and lightness until the hidden target harmony is matched. The deviation is shown after each analysis. Recalibration is the method. A session is twenty assignments across five harmony families: — Complementary: two colors opposite on the wheel. — Analogous: colors adjacent in hue. — Triadic: three colors evenly spaced. — Split-complementary: an anchor and the two flanking its opposite. — Square: four colors at right angles on the wheel. Mastery is tracked across five ranks — Vorkurs, Lehrling, Geselle, Jungmeister, Meister — based on rolling-window performance. The ranks are earned by consistency, not by total play time. Nine studies, named for color theorists and Bauhaus practitioners, reshape every node and selection ring. Each study is introduced before its first session. Part of the Bauhaus Suite — four standalone games, each its own instrument. Every completed session resolves into an artifact — a generative Bauhaus poster, exportable as an image and archived as proof of practice. The game is fully offline. No accounts. No analytics. No ads. No in-app purchases. Nothing leaves the phone. The eye can be trained.
