Grain harvest loss calculator using agronomic methods.
The Harvest Loss Calculation tool is essential for farmers, agricultural technicians, and agribusiness professionals. Developed by FATEC Shunji Nishimura in Pompeia/SP, this application allows for the precise assessment of grain losses during harvesting operations. 🌾 MAIN FEATURES: 📊 LOSS ASSESSMENT • Calculation of losses on the cutting platform • Losses due to threshing and separation • Losses due to grains in the soil • Results in kg/ha and sacks per hectare ⚙️ HARVESTER ADJUSTMENT • Identification of misadjustments • Suggestions for adjustments • Optimization of harvesting parameters • Reduction of waste 🧮 ASSESSMENT METHODS • Square method (0.5 m²) • 1 m² square method • Grain counting • Grain weight 💰 ECONOMIC IMPACT • Calculation of loss per hectare • Estimation of total crop loss • Cost-benefit analysis of adjustments • Value of loss in reais (Brazilian currency) 📈 ANALYSIS OF EFFICIENCY • Percentage of losses • Comparison with acceptable standards • Harvest history • Trends over time ✅ BENEFITS: • Intuitive and easy-to-use interface • Works offline - ideal for field use • Multiple evaluation methods • Precise calculations based on technical standards • 100% free and ad-free 👨🌾 IDEAL FOR: • Farmers and rural producers • Combine harvester operators • Agricultural technicians • Agronomists and consultants • Agricultural cooperatives • Harvesting service providers 📱 EASY TO USE: Simply collect samples in the field using the sampling square, count or weigh the lost grains, and the app automatically calculates the losses and their economic impact. 🔬 TECHNICAL BASIS: Based on Embrapa recommendations and technical standards for evaluating grain harvest losses, especially soybeans, corn, and wheat. 🎯 REFERENCE STANDARDS: • Soybeans: acceptable losses up to 60 kg/ha (1 sack/ha) • Corn: acceptable losses up to 120 kg/ha (2 sacks/ha) • Wheat: acceptable losses up to 90 kg/ha (1.5 sacks/ha) ⚠️ IMPORTANCE: Harvest losses represent significant losses. A loss of just 2% in 100 hectares of soybeans can represent more than 200 sacks lost! This application helps to identify, quantify, and reduce these losses. 🔧 TECHNICAL FEATURES: • Automatic unit conversion • Adjustment for grain moisture • Calculation for different crops • Report export Developed by precision agriculture experts, the app is constantly updated with industry best practices.
