A versatile tool to create coverage maps using your own smartphone

Don't you know which mobile operator to choose? Wondering if you will have data connectivity at your vacation destination? Is your cellular provider delivering the quality of service that they promise? Is there cellular connectivity in the place where you intend to go for adventure activities? This app allows you to make a map of the signal quality using your own smartphone. You can also see coverage maps made using measurements collected by the community. You can use this app regardless of whether you are an inexperienced user, a mobile operator, or an emergency responder. A web interface is enabled to allow researchers to export measurement data to CSV. This app also allows you to monitor the signal quality of your operator in your backyard, on your way to your workplace, or while hiking in the mountains. The maps obtained with this app can help you for example plan your route in the nature while avoiding areas with poor coverage, which can be problematic in case of an emergency.
